IRP Dual Servo Steering System
Brief description :
This is a dual servo steering system that does not require the use of a different top plate it works with the stock plate or the turtle top plate and so far as i can tell the OFF Lipo plate as well, will know more on the OFF soon.
The advantages are obvious, you get a servo dedicated to each tie rod, gain the room of the old servo set up, and mainly, the slop is all gone in the current steering set up.
there is no more one side turning better than the other, and i utilized as much of the stock locations as possible. this was a bloody war, as the area to work with is very limited.
The system is designed around the standerd size servo's, Hitec specifically , but pretty much any standerd size will work. the test unit in my rigs used the HS645mg servos. if you want more there are plenty of options out there...if you feel you need it there is the possibility of over 800oz/in.
What is included in the system, you will receive the top mounting plate, dual servo plate,a set of IRP system specific Turnbuckles and stand offs, Y-harness, 2 pre-drilled servo savers ( hitec spline), and all the mounting hardware.
****Servos are NOT INCLUDED....*****
For those of you that have the IRP turnbuckles there will be a seperate kit at a reduced price.
I tried my absolute best to make this system compatable with stock tie rods and all after market tie rods, including my own, but unfortunatly that just was not possible. when moving the attachment point inboard for the new system this made it impossible for anything but a special length tie rod.. i tried guys...
****NOTE****
As of this moment this system will NOT work with FLM exteneded a-arms, i should have that all worked out before releasing the system to the distributors...
Installation is pretty straight forward.
remove the radio box, and all stock steering components.
assemble the new steering unit on the bench, including the inner tie rod ends to the servo savers.
then attach the unit to the upper plate, you then want to zero your radio settings and center the servos, power them up to do so obviously, and set you servo savers to center on the servo, and tighten them up.
then work the entire assembly back into the chassis and tighten it down, once tight then simply screw the center tie rod link and outer tie rod end onto the inners. then attach the outers to the steering arm at the wheel.
**** Special Note ****
This system is and was designed with the person in mind that has experience and a strong knowledge in R/C suspension, steering , and radio set ups.
This will Not work with stock or cheaper radio systems that do not have the proper adjustments in EPA, Rate, and speed settings.
This system is very responsive and very sensitive and it Will get the in-experienced person in trouble in a hurry, and if you try to use the inproper radio you will get very frustrated.
I am not trying to come off as a hard ass but please Do Not buy this system if you do not have the qualification and knowledge to utilize it just to say you have the newest thing out there.
This was designed with the racer in mind and i would consider it to be for Professional Use Only
Availabilty and Pricing
this will not be available for at least another 2 to 3 weeks at best, i still want to make damn sure all of the bugs are worked out before its release.
i can only do so much in the testing aspect, well lets just say i not willing to jump my rigs off a cliff..but i do have testers that are willing to do so and they will have the units next week.
If there are no un-forseen issues i missed, i will then release them to the distributors, again only if/when i get a 100% go from my bashers.
Sorry Guys, just don't want any issues after the fact, i hope you can understand that

$ 155.00 for those of you that allready have the IRP tie rods( you will recieve the proper length center link, just swap out your rod ends and jam nuts )
